Hi Folks, Welcome to the official Mendes Prey web site. Sorry its taken me so long to get anything on here……..Life just steams ahead and before you know it a year has passed since I acquired the site. Its probably gonna be a slow process but when finished I am hoping all the photo’s, information and history of the band Mendes Prey will be here for all who are, or have been, interested in this little ol’ band from Yorkshire. We spent 6 years writing, rehearsing, recording and gigging around the UK. We finally called it a day in 1986 and all went our separate ways. I left the UK and settled in Darwin, Australia working in radio. The final line up was a 4 piece. Tony Boulton – Bass Martin Brough – Drums Mark Sutcliffe – Guitar and myself Jih Seymour – Vocals It was a great trip and I don’t regret a moment. We were all broke as all monies were put back in to giving the biggest production we could afford at every gig. We made many friends along the way and even to this day I remember many of you who spent time chatting in bars and backstage dressing rooms up and down the Country. I am still great mates with rest of the band and we get together whenever I am back in the UK….which seems to get more infrequent unfortunately.
